What Happens in a Session of Hypnotherapy?

Each session is a safe, confidential space tailored to your needs. We begin by discussing what you would like help with and identifying any patterns or emotional blocks that may be holding you back.

When you’re ready, you’ll be gently guided into a natural, relaxed state — not sleep, but a calm, focused awareness where your mind is more open to positive change. This is the hypnotic state, where the conscious mind quiets and we can work directly with the subconscious, the part of you that holds beliefs, habits, and emotional memory.

While in this state, I use carefully chosen suggestions, imagery, and techniques drawn from clinical hypnotherapy, Ericksonian methods, and NLP to help you shift limiting patterns, resolve inner conflict, and install new, more empowering ways of thinking and feeling.

You remain fully aware and in control throughout. Most people find the experience deeply calming and even enlightening.

At the end, we take a few moments to reflect on what emerged, how you’re feeling, and what may begin to shift in the days ahead. Many clients notice real changes even after just one session.

 

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the issue and your goals. Some people experience significant change in just one or two sessions, while others benefit from a short series of sessions. We’ll discuss what’s right for you during your first appointment.

Session Options:
Sessions are offered either in person near Tullamore, Co. Offaly or online via Zoom, accessible worldwide. All online appointments are scheduled according to the Dublin (Ireland) timezone.

In-person sessions take place in a private, welcoming space at my home near Tullamore, with easy access and on-site parking. 

Online hypnotherapy is highly effective. While the format is slightly adapted to suit the virtual setting, the depth and power of the work remain the same. Many clients find working from the comfort of their own home even more relaxing and convenient.
